Canon C200

Supported Models

All CXX models are supported through Remote A control:

  • C100
  • C200
  • C300 mk1 and C300 mk2
  • C500 mk1
  • C700
  • XF200
  • XF205
  • XF300
  • XF305
  • XF705
note

The C70, C300mk3 and C500mk2 also support Remote-A, but prefer the Canon XC protocol: it runs over IP, is faster and is bidirectional.

  2. Plug the other end into port 2 of the CI0 (port 1 is not compatible with Remote A)

caution

The Remote-A protocol is unidirectional (no feedback from the camera) and limited. The RCP tries to display the most accurate values, but since it receives no feedback from the camera, the values are always an approximation. Follow the camera setup below precisely to get the best match between RCP and camera values.

Camera Configuration

For more information, see the Canon camera manual and the RC-V100 manual.

Check the following settings (if you don't change them, it will probably still work, but the values on the RCP and camera will not match):

Iris:

  • Iris Increment: 1/3 stop
  • Fine Increment: On

Shutter:

  • Shutter Mode: Speed
  • Shutter Increment: 1/4 stop
  • ISO/Gain: Gain
  • ISO/Gain Extended Range: Off
  • Gain Increment: Fine
