Grass Valley / AMPP
https://support.cyanview.com/docs/Integrations/GrassValley/GVAMPP
This page describes how to integrate GV AMPP (Grass Valley's cloud production platform) as a tally input for Cyanview devices.
Required Equipment
- A Cyanview-compatible device (RCP, NIO, or RIO)
- A computer or VM running the GV AMPP Tally Service app
The app connects to:
- GV AMPP, using an API key
- The RCP/NIO/RIO, using TSL (a standard tally protocol)
Wiring
RCP
Simply put the RCP and the GV AMPP app on the same LAN. This feeds tally input from the GV cloud directly into your RCP and routes it to all supported cameras.

NIO
Simply put the NIO and the GV AMPP app on the same LAN. This lets you output GV AMPP tally as GPIO signals using the NIO's 16 built-in GPIOs.

Setup
RCP/NIO
- Open your RCP/NIO Configuration UI.
- If the computer running the GV AMPP app is not in the range
10.192.0.0/16, see IP Configuration so the RCP/NIO can communicate with it. - Open the TSL block and change its parameters as shown below.

For more about TSL, see Tally Configuration.
GV AMPP App
Configuration Tab
Platform setup:
- Enter the URL of your GV AMPP server.
- Enter your API key (pixelated in the screenshot).
- Click "CONNECT". The status should change to ONLINE.
TSL client setup (the RCP/NIO acts as the TSL server):
- Enter the IP address of your RCP/NIO (
10.1.10.173in the example is the NIO's IP). - Enter the NIO's TSL port (
8901by default; adapt it if you changed it). - Click "CONNECT".

Status Tab
Link your GV AMPP virtual cameras to matching TSL IDs. In this example:
- 4 cameras are configured (no limit)
- GV AMPP cloud IDs:
5-TEE,5-GREEN,17-TEE,17-GREEN(can be anything) - TSL IDs:
1,2,3,4(important: must match your RCP/NIO camera numbers)

Because the TSL IDs in GV AMPP are 1 to 4, the RCP/NIO camera numbers must also be 1 to 4.

What matters is that the GV AMPP TSL IDs match the RCP/NIO camera numbers. You can change names, camera models, etc. on the RCP/NIO.
The NIO in this example uses "Not controlled" cameras, but if you change the model to a Sony FX9 or Panasonic UE150, the tally input from GV AMPP is forwarded to any camera Cyanview can control.
NIO: TSL Input, GPO Output
- Open your RCP/NIO Configuration UI.
- In the "GPIO" tab, you find the 4 cameras created above (with matching IDs).
- Configure the GPOs (GPIO outputs):
- At the top left, select "Red Tally" (or "Green Tally")
- For each camera (row), click the GPO (column) where you want to output the tally
- Toggle "L/H" on each GPO to choose whether it goes low or high when in tally

In the configuration, it should look like this:
