The NIO is a Cyanview device that adds 16 GPIOs over Ethernet. GPIOs (general-purpose inputs/outputs) are used to receive tally signals as contact closures from a switcher or similar device (GPI), or to send signals to external equipment (GPO). If you need more GPIOs, you can use multiple NIOs.

Getting Started

  1. Power the RCP and the NIO
  2. Connect the RCP and the NIO to the same network (switch)
  3. The GPIOs are discovered automatically, and the NIO appears in light grey in the RCP's configuration page
  4. Assign each GPIO to tally input or other functions (see "GPI" and "GPO" in Tally Configuration)

For notes on input and output voltages, see "Configuration (GPI/GPO)" in the NIO Manual.

Manual

For wiring and configuration (GPI/GPO), see the NIO Manual.
