About RCP

Product information
For product overviews, specifications, and purchase inquiries, see the product page of VILLAGE island, the distributor in Japan.

The RCP is Cyanview's multi-camera control panel. From a single panel you can shade (adjust brightness, color, and more) cameras of most brands and types used in broadcast. Physical knobs and a touchscreen give instant access to the main camera settings, making it efficient to match multiple cameras. There is no hard limit on the number of cameras one RCP can control (from the Cyanview website).

A version with a joystick (IJ), the RCP-J, is also available.

What the RCP Does

  • Directly controls cameras connected over IP (LAN). Serial cameras are controlled through a CI0, and USB cameras or cameras at remote locations through a RIO
  • Cameras and integrations are configured in the Web UI (configuration page), opened in a browser on your computer
  • Tally, video router/switcher integration, external color correctors (such as the VP4), lenses, and pan-tilt heads can all be handled from one panel
  • The built-in Multi-Cam Dashboard shows the status of all cameras in a browser

What You Need to Install It

  • Power: power and data over a single LAN cable from a PoE (IEEE802.3af) switch, or a 12 V DC supply (see Power Supply)
  • Network: the RCP's Ethernet port is 10/100 Mbit/s. It may not link with gigabit-only equipment (see Network Connection)
  • A computer for configuration: used to open the Web UI

Getting Started

  1. Connect the RCP to power and the network, and check its IP address on the boot screen
  2. Set your computer's IP address and open the RCP's Web UI in a browser
  3. Add cameras in the Web UI

For detailed steps 1–3, see Getting Started; for camera-specific settings, see the camera-specific setup guides. Panel operation is explained in RCP UI.

RCP Manual

For installation details (size, power, network), UI operation, and update procedures, see the RCP Manual.

Camera-Specific Setup Guides

The methods for connecting to and controlling cameras are shared across RCP, RIO, and CIO. See the camera-specific setup guides.
