RIO (pronounced "REE-oh") is a standalone camera control device. It integrates the following functionality:
- CI0: Serial ports, display, and buttons
- RCP: Camera protocols and the configuration Web UI
Its main use cases are:
- Lens control
- USB camera control, e.g. for mirrorless cameras
- Wi-Fi LAN control
- Pole camera, gimbal, and remote camera workflows
RIO can perform camera setup entirely on its own. Even if the link to the RCP is disconnected or unstable, the camera and lens remain under RIO's control.
