A tally is a light that tells the camera operator and talent that the camera's picture is selected on program (on air) or preview. The RCP sends tally signals received from various inputs, such as a switcher, to the cameras.
For cameras without tally (such as mini cameras and camcorders), the LED built into the CI0/RIO (one per port) is used for tally by default. When a more visible tally is needed, use Cyanview's external Tally Light. It works plug-and-play with camcorders and mirrorless cameras.
