Introduction

The RCP can route tally to your cameras from various inputs. For cameras with built-in tally functionality, such as Panasonic PTZ or Sony ENG models, this works alongside shading control.

For cameras without tally functionality, such as mini cameras or camcorders, the LED built into the CI0/RIO (one per port) is configured for tally by default. However, a more visible external tally light is sometimes needed.

Solutions and use cases

  • If you need tally in the viewfinder, or want to design/integrate your own tally box: there is a DIY kit (see "CI0/RIO external LED" in Tally Configuration) and an assembly guide.
  • If you need a plug-and-play solution for your camcorder or mirrorless camera: use the tally light box designed by Cyanview, shown below.
